We sadly missed this movie until today. However, Dakgorim’s fantastic video Born to be Wild Turkeys is a welcome send-off for the Thanksgiving holiday, and the Pilgrim’s Bounty game event. Featuring one of Steppenwolf’s best known songs, and what seems like a half dozen turkeys going completely wild, this video is going to be a fun one to revisit in years to come.
Born to be Wild Turkeys strikes me as a movie that not only should have been made, but it absolutely had to be made the second Pilgrim’s Bounty hit the servers. The combination of motorcycles, turkeys, and roundabout bourbon references is a match made in heaven.
Here’s hoping everyone had a pleasant feasting time, and that we’re all now a few pounds heavier.

And you thought we were done with Halloween references! We simply couldn’t resist wrapping up the season with this latecomer: a young Murloc from the family of Tyrialfrozen of US Ursin. The little gurgler’s mother adapted the costume from a Wal-Mart baby tiger costume pattern. Her instructions, as channeled through Tyrialfrozen:
“Follow the pattern for the body. There wasn’t anything special, just good old sewing machine and scissors. The same was done to make the main part of the head. Next was the blue and white stripes, which were sewed directly on the head. For the red hair/spikes, she cut out long strips and soaked them in half-and-half water/glue and then cut up the bottom. They were

So we wanted to be sure that you all got to see this before Blizzard has YouTube pull it. You probably have about 30 minutes at best. So go at it! The video below the break shows some introductory worgen moves from the recent Russian IgroMir 2009 demonstrations Blizzard had setup. Video is typically against the rules at these things, but a leak is a leak, and this should give players a good view of it.
Of particular note is the animations at the end of the video. The /welcome animation is a worgen pointing, waving, and then getting down on all fours to sniff the air in-front of him; as if to smell the nether regions of the person being greeted as canines are prone to do. There is some discussion if this it worgen idle animation at the wrong time, or if this is part of the overall /welcome animation sequence.
Unforunately we don’t know, but we’re all having a good laugh over it. And now you can do.
The goods after the break, while it still exists.

Each week Dominic Hobbs brings you Blood Pact. “Oh how I love the feel of it, the way it burns your skin and weaves evil thoughts through the mind…” ~ Impsy
With patch 3.3 looking evermore imminent and the changes to warlock talents and spells seeming to have settled down, it’s a good time to take a look at what we can expect from the next expansion. This isn’t going to be a review of the fights and encounters in Icecrown — though I’m sure we’ll get to that at some point — this is a look at how our various raiding builds have changed.
I’ve already reported on most of them as they hit the PTR in previous articles, so I’m not going to dwell on the changes themselves. You can read up on this detail here, here, here and here. I wouldn’t say that lock talents are broken at the moment but it certainly seems as if we’re left little option when it comes to raiding. You have destruction for damage and a demonology

Welcome back to the Scattered Shots, the weekly World of Warcraft Hunter class column. This week we wrap up our “So you want to be a hunter” leveling series as we look at Levels 71-80 and see what makes up the best class in the game. So join me, Eddie Carrington, Brigwyn from The Hunting Lodge blog and podcast, as we explore what’s in store for us hunters.
Hey gang! Welcome to the last installment of the “So you want to be a hunter” leveling series. It’s been a long and windy path through grassy plains, sweltering tropics, and fractured planets to finally end up in the frozen wastes of Northrend as we prepare to face the Lich King and hope to get a flying horse when PTR Patch 3.3 is dropped.
As we do every week, we’ll review the skills you’ll learn. Suggest talent builds for both you and your pet. And help you with finding some solid gear choices by recommending some of the Northrend 5-man instances to run through. And what trek

The Wrath storyline factored heavily into the official WoW comics, albeit slightly late, and continues to do so with the release of the upcoming Thassarian manga. And now it looks like it’s headed on a collision course with the storyline to Cataclysm! Ogre-turned-Liefeldian-monstrosity Cho’gall recites a prophecy in the latest issue related heavily to the Old Gods, Mary Sue shamagadin Med’an, and the Elemental Planes. BlizzPlanet has a pretty good writeup of what the prophecy could mean and its consequences down the road, but I’ll give you a brief summary here, too.
Of course, I’ll toss it after the jump for those inclined to avoid spoilers. Ready?
Cho’gall, empowered by C’Thun, says that when the child of three worlds, Med’an, becomes “of Light” — dies, in the vernacular — then the barrier between the Elemental Planes and terrestrial Azeroth will shatter and they’ll begin to merge. Well, we certainly

Welcome back to the Scattered Shots, the weekly World of Warcraft Hunter class column. This week we continue our “So you want to be a hunter” leveling series as we look at Levels 60-70 and see why I really feel they’re the best class in the game. So join me, Eddie Carrington, Brigwyn from The Hunting Lodge blog and podcast, as we explore what’s in store for us hunters.
Maybe one day hunters being able to tame duids as their very own pet. Wouldn’t that be awesome? I want to thank Dwarffinator and Lissana of Restokin.com for making this picture and sending it in for me to use.
This is part six of our, now eight part “So you want to be a hunter” leveling guide series. In what was originally to be our final guide, we will now instead cover 10 levels, 60-70, with levels 71 through 80 coming next week. Part of this change is in response to your feedback wanting a bit more information on the skills.
As we do in each, this week we’ll review

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW.com’s daily Q&A column where the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky be your host today.
One question that has been coming up a lot lately: What are we going to do when Cataclysm’s open beta starts? The answer is The Queue is going to turn back into its original inception of Ask a Beta Tester, except we’re still going to leave the name as The Queue.
Today’s Queue will focus on the multitude of questions we’ve received about Chill of the Throne, or more snarkingly called, Icecrown Radiance. Read on for questions and answers, and a tale of Little Jimmy using his obesity to mitigate the damage caused by his brother.
Good times!
A couple million people complained…
“Won’t the 20% dodge nerf from Icecrown Radiance make tanking impossible in patch 3.3?”
TL;DR version: NO.
Extended answer: Chill of the Throne is going to decrease dodge by 20%. If you had 50%

Dodge the drama and become that player everyone wants in their group with the Drama Mamas. Lisa Poisso and Robin Torres are real-life mamas and experienced WoW players — and just as we don’t want our precious babies to be the ones kicking and wailing on the floor of checkout lane next to the candy, neither do we want you to become known as That Guy on your server. We’re taking your questions at DramaMamas (at) WoW (dot) com.
Pictured above is just some of the torture devices on the prison ship Success. The writer of our first letter is not looking to send a guild “criminal” on a tortuous journey across the globe to a penal colony, but he is looking to exact a harsher punishment than the one already meted out. Our second petitioner is tortured about being considered weird for playing the opposite gender. We won’t torture you with any further delays before letting you at the drama.
